When you mention the Chelsea Flower Show, most people think of hot, sunny days in May looking at beautifully manicured gardens. But the reality is that an enormous amount of work goes on behind the scenes. And rather than taking place in stylish civilised surroundings, they nearly always take place in cold wet places. This time the action is taking place in Chicksgrove Quarry near Tisbury, Wiltshire. Sarah, Graham and Mark have been working with the team from the quarry preparing the Chilmark stone for the garden. The slabs are enormous but need to be cut to a few milimetres accuracy. It’s going to take a few weeks but will be spectacular when it is done.

Look forward to seeing these lovely blocks in place.
