Poor Ulf hobbled into town yesterday to meet up with David Hesketh and myself to discuss progress on the Laurent-Perrier garden. The poor chap has just had an operation on his foot which must have been very painful. But he put on a brave face as he was wined and dined at the Dorchester. One of the many advantages of working with Laurent-Perrier is that you always go to very nice restaurants!
The RHS also announced the other gardens at Chelsea 2013, which will celebrate 100 years of the Flower Show (which used to be called the Great Spring Show). I don’t have the complete list but there will be 15 gardens, including:
M&G, designed by Roger Platts
Sentebale, designed by Jinny Blom. This garden will get lost of publicity because the charity is supported by Prince Harry
Daily Telegraph, designed by Christopher Bradley-Hole
Food & Environment Research Agency, designed by Jo Thompson
The East Village garden, designed by Michael Balston
Arthritis Research UK, designed by Chris Beardshaw
Brewin Dolphin, designed by Robert Myers
